ACSA Tunnel Project

CENTRAL HIGHWAY TUNNEL

Central highway has two tunnels in the section of Ruta 5, close to Santiago Centro, where they must supervise and control the ventilation system inside these.

THE PROJECT

The basis of the project is based on the migration of the previous Scada system, which was obsolete, using our SCADA brand represented ICONICS. The project considered the integration of all field teams (gas sensors NO, CO and Opacity, thermometers, ventilators and emergency lights), in addition to carrying out the rehabilitation of a cabinet and the replacement of some gas sensors.

Because in Autopista Central we already had a SCADA in ICONICS brand operations, which is in charge of the monitoring and operation of the pump rooms and technical booths, when migrating your tunnel management system, it was only necessary to update the Scada license to support a greater number of TAGs. Currently Autopista Central has a single and integrated platform to facilitate access and operation of the different systems.

The design of the Tunnel SCADA allows monitoring the conditions of each zone of the Thompson and Tupper tunnels, In addition to allowing each fan to be controlled independently or to activate the lights or emergency condition in case of detecting an accident or fire inside.

Within the tools and utilities available, The SCADA is also in charge of historicizing the gas level data and has complementary screens that allow the operator to view by zones or the general conditions as desired..

Además, have a password-restricted access maintenance screen, where only an authorized operator can perform the actions to change the activation and deactivation ranges of the gas levels, check the fan hour meters and apply a hour meter reset, and enable or disable sensors according to their status.
