Scada Tunnel La Pólvora

LA PÓLVORA TUNNEL
The La Pólvora road is the route that joins the section between the route 68, sector placilla, and access to the Port of Valparaíso, composed of Tunnel T1 of 2,183 kilometers, Tunnel T2 (Long Hill) from 321 meters and the T3 Tunnel (The Souls) of 440bmeters between Quebrada, Las Lucumas and Las Animas; as well as the Puerto Viaducts, The Factory and Las Lúcumas.
THE PROJECT
The basis of the project is based on updating the La Pólvora SGT Tunnel and Road Management System Software., which is in charge of all the management, tunnel monitoring and control.
The proposal considered the use of an open and scalable technology, composed of Scada Industrial ICONICS software, composed of a redundant architecture at the level of SCADA servers, OPC y PLC central, in order to ensure high system availability.
For implementation, it was necessary to integrate all the systems and subsystems associated with the control and management of the Tunnel, ranging from the Siemens Simatic S7414 central PLC in charge of executing all functional logic required for the critical operation of the tunnel, together with the integration of DAI subsystems, Fire detection, PMV panels, Cross-arrows and traffic lights, SOS poles, barriers, traffic detection system, in addition to the pond levels for collecting water and spills, energy and grid information, communication status between switch, report and log management.
The global upgrade process also considered the replacement of all the switches and the headers of the field wago PLCs., con

the objective of implementing a network under the Profinet communication protocol standard, which allowed to improve data extraction, in addition to incorporating network diagnostic information.
